Barbecues and smokers are more popular than ever. Firing up the barbie is a summer staple but considering the cost, it is surprising how many people don't keep their BBQ secured in place when not in use. Our Barbecue security kit is designed to anchor your BBQ and the gas bottle in place - meaning anyone considering wheeling your investment away in the dark of the night will find that it's firmly fixed in place.

The Burg-Wächter Barbecue Security Kit features a Sold Secure Approved ground / wall anchor. This ground and wall anchor does just that - this will be the fastening point the BBQ is secured to. As the name suggests, it can be mounted directly into a concrete floor, flagstones or attached to walls and even decking. If you attach it to decking, the supplied metal back plate means you can place the plate behind the deck board and the anchor on the other side of the board, bolting the two together ensuring it can't be ripped out the board. Place near to the BBQ frame and you are good to go.

This kit comes with two types of security cable - a 2.1 metre Ø12mm braided steel cable with a self-coiling design to prevent snagging, and a 1.5 metre combination locking cable. Attach the braided steel cable to a strong point of the BBQ frame, then loops back to the ground / wall anchor. Lock in place with the heavy duty U-lock. The gas bottle can be also secured to the frame of the BBQ using the combination locking cable - the 4-digit pin code (which can be changed to any 4-digit code) allows for easy access when the cylinder needs replacing.

On top of this, the kit also includes a Sold Secure Approved U-lock. This Police approved U-bolt lock has a hardened steel shackle and body, meaning trying to cut through it is going to be hard work. The shackle removes completely from the body, allowing it to be easily threaded through the anchor and security cable & locked back into the lock body.
