The new DCP580N features a brushless motor which guarantees you'll get an efficient and cost-effective planer that will last for years to come. It will accept any of DeWalt's family of 18V XR Li-ion batteries so you can mix and match with your current tool collection. It has twin blades for a smoother finish, market-leading rebate capacity, increased runtime and a precision 0.1mm depth adjustment. With on-board blade/torx key storage and an air lock port this is a great all-round performer.

4-position pendulum action controls the aggressiveness or smoothness of cuts, tool free adjustable shoe with anti-scratch cover bevels to 47 in both directions.
Improved tool free blade change mechanism holds the blade more securely, keeping the blade squarer during use for ultimate precision. Top handle features a trigger with seperate lock off switch and easy access speed control wheel.
Dual LED's illuminate the workpiece in low-light situations and a built-in dust blower keep the workpiece free from debris for the most accurate cut.
