Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Taps Took over 1.5 hours laid on my back on floor with my head in the cupboard under the sink to undo the fixing of the old taps and 10 minutes stood up to install this new tap! Brilliant! SIMPLEFIT it certainly is and it feels as solid as a rock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Bought this tap to replace an old swan neck tap. Was a bit sceptical regarding the ease of fitting. But I have never had such an easy replacement tap to install, it actualy took under 1hour to complete the removal of the old tap, and replace with the new Simplifit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality, easy fit I fitted this mixer tap one month ago and am pleased with the installation and general quality of finish.. The instructions could be better but by using the tips in the customer reviews I had no problems in knowing how to fit it. I have a few tips/observations; (1) when fitting into a stainless steel sink unit the instructions specify that the supplied O ring must be fitted under the top flange but take care not to over tighten the clamp as this only serves to squash and distort the O ring. Due to the O ring there is always some springy movement, as in effect the tap is flexibly mounted. In practice this does not matter. (2) The supplied hot/cold shut off valves are a good feature but take care to fit them the correct way round. One end has a recess for an 'olive' when installed in a 15 mm supply and the other end has a wide flange face suitable for interfacing with the rubber seal in the 'tail' of the flexible pipes going up to the tap base. (3) I agree that the black plastic aerator is of poor quality, the supplied item tends to splash and the plastic threads will soon jam/wear if dismantled regularly for cleaning. I replaced this with a chrome bodied item (24mm male) which I purchased from an on line supplier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A decent tap, but... The tap has a good finish, is the right size and style for my sink and the handles have a smooth action so overall I am pleased with it. However, the illustration is inaccurate and the fitting instructions are too scant. After a lot of head scratching and fruitless internet searches I finally worked out how it should be fitted and I am now satisfied with the result. The base unit with the flexible hoses is fitted from above the sink: the hoses go through the hole and the flange rests on the black rubber O-ring ( I have a stainless steel sink). This is secured using the support, a screw, and a small threaded bracket which is not illustrated. A chrome-plated flanged ring, also not illustrated, is fitted over the bottom of the tap body with the flange uppermost before the tap is fitted onto the base. Hold this ring up while the grub screw is tightened to secure the tap body to the base. The ring then slides down to cover the screw. The ring has an O-ring inside it which seals to the tap body so hopefully this will stop dirt accumulating under it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simplifit Melbourne Kitchen Mixer Tap The mixer tap has just been installed. The plumber was pleased with the fitting - instructions/parts. Although only one day old, it is proving very satisfactory. The flow of water - compared to our previous tap (which was much more expensive) is excellent.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice looking tap, instructions could be better! Fitting into a stainless steel sink, had 2 plumbers scratching their heads initially. Had to resort to a B&Q YouTube demonstration I found in order help them get started! To be fair, the fitting instructions/diagrams aren't great, but 'oldguy' has given some decent help in his review here. Plumbers did not grasp they had to insert the flexi hoses AND the silver cross piece (brace) into the hole! Not sure why that was such a puzzle, after all, it's the thing that you are going to tighten from the top with the allen key to hold the tap in place. From there it was pretty much plain sailing, following instructions from 'oldguy' and manufacturer. The tap comes with a plastic 'support' with a similarly shaped sticky backed foam pad, if fitting to a stainless steel sink you simply MUST install the support. Simplifit refer to the foam pad as 'glue' and it's easy to think this is just a bit of small triangular packing material & do as my plumbers did....throw it out with the rubbish. My tap seemed somewhat wobbly after installation, plumbers claimed "because stainless steel thin on cheap sink", in reality I quickly discovered that they fitted the 'support' upside down, therefore there was quite literally NO additional intended support for the sink/tap. No excuse for that, it's common sense and a glance at the diagram should have been clear which way up it would provide support - & which way it wouldn't. Have put this right ourselves as the Simplifit tap is precisely that - simple to fit (and unfit). Job done in 15 mins. Nice shiny crome and feels reasonably good quality. Can't speak for longevity. My only real complaint about this tap would be the existing anti splash/flow straighterner/ flow breaker/ diffuser - call it what you will, the little black fitting on the end of the tap. It is total rubbish. We've even taken it off to clean it but still quite erratic in the flow of water squirting through it, can be much more splattery than I think it should. Given 3 stars because fitting instructions and diagrams could be clearer and because IMO the anti splash is cheap, nasty & not very effective.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from We only bought this because it had a long spout For some reason a lot of the taps we looked at had a short reach when it came to the spout. These where the only ones that seemed to reach as far as we needed. Originally installed these as a replacement around 2010. Great because they're Ceramic Disc and the Chrome finish has never chipped but downsides for us were, Difficult to undo to repair a leak They leaked from where the spout joins the tap (OK it's been 4 years but still)
