Great product I always keep in my stock cupboard.!
Just the right amount of stickiness so that it holds, but then can be re-positioned more accurately. Press firmly if you want it to really stick. When removed, clean-up is quite easy; but like most Masking Tapes, the longer you leave it, the more cleaning up you need to do.
IMPORTANT FEATURE - it peels off nicely off the roll, I don't have that problem experienced with cheap ordinary masking tape, where it tears into ever narrowing strips tapering to nothing - and then I have to fiddle about with my finger nails trying to re-start the roll, only to have the same thing happen again after a few inches (know the feeling?).
Why is it blue? No idea, but it suits my fine. Easier to find, maybe?
Don't expect it to work miracles at the edges, so don't slop on too much liquid gloss near the edge.
Works well in the garage too - I have used it to mask off before spraying small body repairs.
Don't forget to use it to hold dust sheets or old newspapers in place to catch stray drips of overspray!
I buy the packs of 4 - that way I've always got one handy. Better value too!

I have used this tape for a number of years it is a good quality product , I find it is very useful for getting nice straight lines when painting skirting, architrave etc , highly recommended.

Works for me
Despite the bad reviews I have to say I had no trouble with it at all.
Off now to slate the budget masking tape which was so bad after using aa few feet of it, I threw the rest away.

Slightly better than budget masking tape
The price doesn't reflect the quality. I used 2 different tapes to make a faux brick effect on my walls. While this one is better at sticking to the surface (the other brand lifted up at the ends) I found it ripped very easily in places when unravelling. I achieved the brick effect without any leaking but it did lift off paint in places to the plaster but so did the cheaper brand I also used. I am buying more to finish the job so I'm not completely disatisfied. So in summary better than the budget masking tape you can buy but not without fault. Price should be reduced.

Worst Masking Tape on the market
Purchased this 4-roll pack on the basis it is detailed as 'Professional masking tape'. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Whilst it readily sticks to walls and skirting, trying to remove the tape results in one of 2 outcomes:
1) The tape lifts the base layer of paint along with it.
2) The tape leaves the base layer intact but deposits a very sticky and hard to remove residue behind.
The tape was only left on the painted surface for 24 hours (allowing 2 coats of paint to be applied and dry) and all usual precautions were taken.
This really is the worst masking tape available in the UK and should be avoided unless there is absolutely nothing else for purchase. The only reason it has 1 star is because the site won't accept zero....
