Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Happy I bought the wall light to match two that were in the house when I moved in earlier this year. Very happy with the look and have also bought two table-top lamps in the same design. Very good value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job! The lights have a nice rustic look and they do the job! It took an electrician little time to fit them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A light lit light W got fed up with the old g4 low voltage 12 volt lounge ( ceiling &wall ) chromium plated lights we spent a long time looking for replacements that would offer a better alternative to the G4 capsule bulbs that kept burning out at the slightest excuse mainly when there was a big but allowable fluctuation on the oncoming mains voltage as the inbuilt transformers were really only 12 AC step down transformers not as they could have been for a few pennies per light unit a true 12 volt Dc electronic stabilized transformer. The step down transformers could run at 30 volts AC right down to 9 volts Ac so you can readily see that if we were near the top end of the legally allowed variation in electrical supply to the property we could have something like 257 volt AC being transformed down to 21.4 volts AC those wee G4's just had no chance of not burning out . We had three wall lights each with three bulbs and tow ceiling lights each with six making a total of 21 bulbs and over the four years we'd had the old lights have had to replaced 68 bulbs at about £ 2.20 per bulb . None of the lights we'd looked at in various places & on websites appealed to us as wall lights don't seem to be much in vogue these days , so whilst replacing yet more of the old burnt out bulbs we carried on searching . Quite by accident O popped into a B&Q to get some electrical tape and had to walk down the lighting isle , which looked as dismal as ever with loads of G4 lighting and the rest looking well quite frankly ghastly with 240 volt bulb fittings . A lot of the displayed lights had dead bulbs in them ..don't want that either . We saw one ceiling light we liked but there were no wall light friends on the shelves and none shown dead or alive on the wall boards either. Oncoming home I decided to explore the B&Q website ( www.diy.com ) found the light I was interested in & it is in the G9 bulb fitting so I can use direct replacement plug in LED lamps..... instead of 240 volt 40 watt bulbs that would use nearly a Kilowatt of power each hour if all were on at the same time . But it was still only available as a ceiling light and in black at that , so they would have looked like girt big five legged spiders on a nice white flat soft mat ceiling .. Nah! .... Thanks but no thanks . I'll stick with having to buy more bulbs for the present . A few days alter I got one of those irritating internet enquiry tracked & annoying advert generated adverts from B&Q , showing the same lights in black & as two bulb wall lights ... I clicked on the links & was annoyed at there not being any discoverable link ups on the website to the ceiling lights . I went through the whole sites lighitng dept from end to end . It took several hours to have a look to see if somehow there were matching sets of ceiling lights in a light colour instead of black . That B&Q site is not the easiest or most of professional sites for navigation at the best of times and there is no actual link up such as, " Here is the ceiling light ... click her to see the wall light . ( nothing had changed since when we purchase the old chrome lights five years ago they didn't cross reference either ). Eventually my wife & I made a list of item & model part numbers that had the G14 lamps and found the wall & ceiling matching set that were in a light cream matt paint with gold trim ..they'd look good we decided so purchased them 2 x ceiling lights and three x wall light sets . They arrived two days later at the agreed time slot , an electrician friend had been booked for fitting them & he got to fitting them as fast as I could unpack them . Then disaster struck... " Oh me Oh my ". one of the five legged ceiling lights was badly damaged inside the original packing , the arms & filagree leaf's had been pushed through the manufacturers packing and bent ..so much for carefully made & packed but even more black marks for the B&Q dispatch employee who let the obviously damaged carton be packed in a bigger protective box & sent off to me . There is no way the goods could have been damaged in transit that's for sure . A quick phone call to B&Q and a new set was on the way, with collection arrangement for the damaged unit also made at the same time . I guess you could say I was non too chuffed at the damaged goods being dispatched to say the least and neither was my lass nor the fully booked up electrician who made special dispensation to fit t the new light in his own time FOC. when it arrived ( I'm 80 % disabled in my spine and arms as a result of an industrial accident and could not have done it ) Well it's three weeks later, I've been in hospital for yet another spinal operation, none of the G9 bulbs have blown .................... Yipeeeee! All I need to do now is trawl the internet for some G9 x 5 or 6 watt LED bulbs that will fit the lights without sticking out like a sore thumb ( G9 x 7 watt 35 LED corn bulbs stick out 35 mm ) the quest goes on ...... but the lights do look nice HONEST !
