Product Information

This emulsion paint is suitable for and covers up to 13 m² per litre on average.

Features and Benefits

This matt emulsion will make your room light and more spacious. Its patented LumiTec formulation works with light-reflective particles to reflect up to twice as much light back into your room, when compared to regular emulsion paints. At B&Q we want you to be satisfied with your colour selection. Not all monitors will display colours the same and paint tins may not show the same colour as your walls do in natural light. We therefore recommend you order a tester pot online or pop in store to pick one up so you are sure that this is the right colour for you.

  • Control air pollutants by choosing products with lower solvent levels

Questions to ask before you begin

Which room in the house are you painting?

What goes on in the room you are planning to paint? Maybe you are painting a kitchen or bathroom that would benefit from a moisture-resistant paint. Some rooms might need an extra hard-wearing paint which can be wiped down and cleaned such as hallways, landings or kid’s bedrooms. Finding the right paint isn’t just about which colour you pick. We have different types of paint designed for use in different rooms. By choosing the paint that is specially designed for the type of room you are painting, you will get the best end result.

What type of surface are you painting?

There are different types of paint for different surface materials. As well as a comprehensive selection of emulsion paints for walls and ceilings, we have a wide range of specialist paint including ones that are designed for wood furniture, brick walls, and tiles. Choosing the right paint for the right material will ensure a longer-lasting result and the best coverage.

What kind of look are you going for?

Maybe your home has quite a traditional look and would suit a subtle, matt effect paint. Or perhaps you have a more contemporary style that would look great with a satin or metallic finish paint. When selecting paint, think about what you want the final look to be, so that you can choose the correct finish as well as the right colour.

How much time do you have to complete your decorating project?

If you need to get your painting job done quickly, we have a wide range of quick-drying options that will help you get a whole room decorated in a few hours. We have quick dry wall paint, primers, and wood and metal paint to help you make the most of your time whatever you are painting.

What state is the surface in?

Some of our interior paints can be applied directly to the surface. Others may require a bit of preparation before you can begin painting. Perhaps you are painting a freshly plastered surface or previously untreated wood, or maybe you need to fill in some holes or sand down an uneven surface. We have paints and primers for all sorts of surfaces that will help you achieve a nice, even finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great colour Tried about 12 tester pots to get a cream that wasn't yellowy or too grey. This is a lovely off white colour.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice I originally bought this for our bedroom and liked it so much that I used it for the rest of the house as well. Coverage is not fantastic but not as bad as the other reviews suggest, at least not in my experience. I would advise doing a cheap white coat over any existing colour. When applying the paint it does look thin and patchy but as it dries the colour appears to become stronger, persevere. It took me two coats over a white coat to get a good finish. It is not hard wearing at all so as others have said not suitable for high traffic areas.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Colour is pale butter with hint of yellow Purchased to paint wall above dado rail in hall. Original colour was dark and it took too undercoats of white emulsion and then two coats of this paint to cover. It does what it says, creates light and space. The colour is a very pale butter in some lighting conditions and whiter in others. I will purchase the white to paint the rest of house now because it definitely creates a feeling of of more space than normal paint.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Light but wouldn't use again I bought this paint because it was the absolute perfect colour that I was looking for to decorate a newly plastered large and airy living room. The walls were primed with an undercoat and it still took 3 coats to get a 'reasonable' finish and it's not an easy paint to put on with a roller. The colour is great, a sort of lemony limey pale wash that actually changes colour and shade during the day as the natural light moves and changes. I love this about it - it's like having a room full of sunshine all the time. BUT. It is the least resilient paint I have EVER used. The slightest brush, scuff or splash and it is marks. Stains seem to soak straight into it, and no matter how gently you try to gently rub them off the either the paint comes off or it just leaves a bigger mark. This paint is NO good for high traffic areas such as halls, stairs etc. Nor is it any good for areas with children or dogs. When I need to redecorate, I love the colour so much that I will get Dulux to mix/colour match a silk finish paint for me in this shade - but I wouldn't use light and space again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor coverage Bought this paint for my living room/dining room. Poor coverage after 3, 4 coats still not fully covered. Won't be using this again. Very poor for Dulux.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 'Worst paint ever' Heed this it is true! I should have read the reviews before I bought thus paint it is thin and patchy. Will have to start again with another paint. Do not buy it is awful. PS Walls and paint brush good quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the hassle! I tried this paint but ended up swapping to the Endurance range. The coverage is as bad as the others say. It's very thin and takes several coats to get a uniform appearance. If you try rollering it a bit thicker than normal it crazes when it dries. The normal Dulux matt paints are far better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worst paint ever this paint is the worst paint ever after 4 coats it has still not covered please do not buy light and space i wish this product was light and drifted into space never to be seen on earth again
