Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely coverage I've just painted oak kitchen cupboards last week, needed 3 coats but applied with a small foam roller and have brilliant coverage with a lovely finish. Cupboards have been washed since and seem quite durable...only downside is the amount of coats needed and it is rather expensive for a small tin, i needed 2 tins for a small kitchen

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not easy to get a good finish A difficult paint to get on and get a really good finish. It did however cover our brown wardrobe doors in two coats.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Did the job Although label says 'one coat' this is only obtainable when working on a horizontal surface where it can be applied quite thick. When working on an upright surface, such as wardrobe doors, you can't apply the paint thick enough for one coat coverage as it 'droops'. When spread thin enough to avoid this, a second coat (at least) is needed. Overall finish is quite good and certainly a lot cheaper than new doors. You need windows open when using it as very strong smell.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from did what it says on the tin!! We had had our room redecorated but the original fitted cupboard doors looked yellow compared to the rest of the architrave. Bought this paint and painted all 4 doors in one coat and an amazing and immediate difference. Not too smelly and dried quickly. Only needed the 1 coat which surprised us so well done!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's OK, but does NOT do all it says on the tin! Bought this to paint a replacement MDF panel in a vanity unit together with three remaining melamine-covered panels, the plan being to have matching colour (white) on all four panels. I selected this paint because of its stated suitability for such surfaces. I sealed the MDF and lightly abraded it before applying Ronseal White Satin Cupboard Paint. Forget one coat. Forget two coats. It took three coats with light rubbing down between coats to achieve a satisfactory finish. I'm City and Guilds qualified in Painting and Decorating so I know which end of a wet brush to hold. It's expensive and, in the event, the colour of the MDF panel nicely matched the existing three so I could probably have got away with a cheaper oil-based satin finish just for the MDF. TIP: This paint is quite thick but the flow rate can be improved by standing the tin (with the lid loose) in hot water to warm the paint. Stir well though!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from One coat? Used this to rejuvenate an old wooden bathroom cupboardcupboard. Spent hours sanding, but one coat of this paint went nowhere near covering. Used 3coats in the end and it then looked lovely.
