24-28 May 2011. Royal Hospital, Chelsea, London
This year B&Q is delighted to once again be part of RHS Chelsea Flower Show. We're setting our sights high with our show garden! Designed and built by Laurie Chetwood and Patrick Collins, it incorporates a 9m high living wall, one side of which is a vertical allotment, the other side comprises a vertical potting shed. The vertical allotment showcases window box designs by B&Q employees. The vertical potting shed will display, amongst other sustainable ideas, insect hotels created by young people in Kent. See how they got on!
This is the highest ever garden show at RHS Chelsea, and what more, it's ALL edible! Come and see us from
24–28 May and we'll show you that everyone can grow their own food, however large or small their outdoor space – from large garden to the tiniest window box.
Growing your own garden is possible in ANY space! Use a window box, planters or hanging baskets, it's really that easy. We've been poking our green fingers into some fairly unlikely places recently - just take a look at this video. You'll be amazed how easy it is to transform even the smallest of spaces. Why not have a go yourself?

With edible gardens, your food goes from plant to plate without any packaging waste or carbon emissions from food miles.
Our B&Q garden will show you just how easy this is in any range of aspects and situations. With the majority of plant species available to buy at your local B&Q it's simple to grow fruit, vegetables and other edible plants.
