Earthstone worktops

Earthstone solid surface worktops bring a new dimension to the kitchen, bridging the gap between laminate and granite. Designed to have the appearance of natural stone but without the high cost of fitting and maintenance. Earthstone surfaces provide a smooth, seamless look and are hygienic, resistant to mould, bacteria and most household stains.

The Earthstone range of worktops and accessories are designed to enhance any kitchen, mixing style with practicality and highlighting the worktop as a stunning, integral feature.

Composition

6mm thick solid acryllic surface bonded to a 28mm high performance chipboard core, with a moisture resistant barrier on the underside. All worktops are pre-finished to a matt surface ready for immediate installation and are available with factory applied edges on three sides.

Product Range

Earthstone worktops are available in 3m lengths for ease of handling and fitting, combined with a standard 605mm width across all design options. 1.8m worktops are also available to reduce wastage and cost. Breakfast bars are 3m by 665mm wide and a 1.8m by 970mm wide option doubles as an island worktop. Feature worktops include a 3m breakfront worktop in all designs and a 1.8m sink module featuring a white acryllic 1 ½ bowl white sink and drainer grooves in the worktop.

Simple Installation

No templating is required. Semi-finished worktop blanks supplied ready for direct fitting using normal, everyday installation techniques similar to laminate worktops. No extra work is needed to build up the thickness or edges nor additional underside fixing points, effectively saving time and installation costs.

Suitable for all sink options

Ideally suited for different sink options; undermount sinks are fitted directly to the underside of the solid surface creating a secure, waterproof bond. Each sink size requires a specific jig that are available here. Inset sinks are fitted exactly in the same way as laminate worktops - sealed all around creating a moisture-resistant bond between surface and sink. Belfast sinks provide a distinctive design feature.

Accessories

A full range of accessories are available:

• Upstands - 12mm thick solid in 1.8m lengths by 50mm wide can be applied directly to the wall and worktop using a standard clear silicone.
• Splashbacks - 6mm thick matching material in 1.8m x 450mm wide, factory finished ready for direct application with clear silicone
• Hob panel - can be applied directly to the wall in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. Normally not less than 150mm. Available in 610 x 760mm, 6mm thick.
• Edging - worktops are supplied with three sides factory edged. Separate edging strip (980 x 38 x 6mm) is available.
• Curved edging - a pre-curved edging strip (800 x 38 x 6mm) is used in conjunction with round corner units.
• Colour-matched adhesive - 50ml cartridge of a 2-part coloured adhesive specifically formulated to gove a solid, waterproof seal. Each cartridge contains sufficient adhesive to comfortably achieve three joints.

Care

Highly durable and long lasting, Earthstone surfaces are easy to clean and maintain - even small scuffs and scratches can be removed

Scratch resistant

Scuffs and scratches that appear through everyday use can be easily buffed away. A chopping board should always be used to protect the surface

Heat resistant

Similar to other worktop materials always protect the worktop from hot pans, earthenware or dishes placed directly from the oven or cooker

Resistance to staining

Earthstone worktops have a solid non-porous surface, resistant to normal household stains, mould and bacteria growth. A regular wipe down with a mild detergent and water keeps the worktop looking newer for longer.
