You Can Do It Centre terms and conditions

The terms and conditions set out below shall apply to any You Can Do It class provided by B&Q. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking any class on this site. By booking any You Can Do It class, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

1. You Can Do It classes are only available at selected B&Q stores to those over the age of 18. B&Q may require proof of age and identity before the start of the class.
2. An advance reservation is required for attendance at all You Can Do It classes.
3. You can reserve a place at a You Can Do It class either by using the online booking system www.diy.com or otherwise by calling B&Q's Customer Contact Centre on 0845 6005428.
4. Any booking made by you is provisional and is subject to acceptance by B&Q and payment in cleared funds of the applicable fees. B&Q will contact you to confirm if your place has been secured by telephone or by email.
5. Each You Can Do It class is subject to availability. Class sizes are limited and will be filled strictly in the order of requests received.
6. There will be a fee charged to cover B&Q's costs depending on the class and its content. Please see specific class descriptions for further details. Payment of the fee is due in full at the time of booking using a credit or debit card. All fees are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate and must be made in pounds sterling.
7. Fees for the classes are subject to change at any time, but changes will not affect any existing booking which has been confirmed by B&Q.
8. Details of the classes provided by B&Q and the class timetable can be found at www.diy.com. B&Q reserves the right to make changes to the class timetable and content at any time and B&Q will not be responsible for any loss or damage caused as a result of such changes. It may be necessary for B&Q to cancel a You Can Do It class without notice due to circumstances beyond its control and in that case, B&Q's only responsibility shall be to provide an alternative class or to refund the fees paid for the class to you.
9. Any materials supplied as part of any You Can Do It class are proprietary to B&Q and any use or duplication other than for your personal use is strictly prohibited.
10. B&Q reserves the right to exclude any person from attending a class who in B&Q's reasonable opinion has not complied with these terms and conditions or fails to act in a proper and responsible manner.
11. You Can Do It Classes must not be recorded in any way without the prior written consent of B&Q.
12. If you wish to change or cancel any reservation for a You Can Do It class you should give B&Q notice in advance of the class ideally by telephone on 0845 6005428 or otherwise in writing to 'B&Q To Home Customer Services, Torrance House, Erskine Harbour, Erskine, Renfrewshire, PA8 6AT'. If cancellation is made within a period of seven working days starting with the date on which you receive a confirmation of the booking, B&Q will provide a refund of the fee paid by you, to the credit or debit card with which you paid, within 30 days of the date on which you notify B&Q of the cancellation. If the date of the class booked by you is within seven working days of the date on which your booking is confirmed by B&Q, you agree that your right of cancellation will end at the time the class starts. Other than as set out in this paragraph the fee will only be refunded if B&Q cancels a You Can Do It class and cannot provide you with a place at an alternative session. In no circumstances will the fee be refunded if you do not attend a class.
13. You must wear suitable clothing at the class for working in but all other equipment will be provided by B&Q. Activities conducted at You Can Do It classes are likely to present similar risks of injury as DIY work carried out at home including from the use of equipment and machinery. You must adhere to any health and safety guidelines provided by B&Q and use any safety equipment provided by B&Q during classes. So far as permitted by law, B&Q will not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage incurred by attendees. This does not affect your statutory rights.
14. In providing your contact details you consent to B&Q contacting you in relation to your attendance at a You Can Do It class and for any other purpose you agree to.
15. B&Q cannot guarantee the level of skill each individual will attain during any classes.
16. You may not transfer or give away any place at a You Can Do It class to any other person, or any of your rights or obligations under these terms and conditions without B&Q's prior written consent.
17. These terms and conditions and any booking of a You Can Do It class together with any dispute or claim in connection with them shall be subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Kids Can Do It Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions set out below shall apply to any place on a Kids Can Do It class provided by B&Q. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking any class on this site. By booking any Kids Can Do It class, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

1. Kids Can Do It classes are only available at selected B&Q stores to children between the ages of 7 and 11. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times during the class. A maximum of two children may attend with each parent or guardian.
2. An advance reservation is required for attendance at all Kids Can Do It classes. You may reserve up to a maximum of 4 Kids Can Do It classes at any one time.
3. You can reserve a place at a Kids Can Do It class either by using the online booking system www.diy.com or otherwise by calling B&Q's Customer Contact Centre on 0845 6005428.
