All about healthy homes

  • Can my home be healthier? Yes. There are plenty of ways to improve the air quality in your home, making it a healthier place to live for you and your family. We've got the lowdown on VOCs and why using fewer chemicals is better for you. Just having more green plants indoors can help.
  • What are VOCs? VOCs stand for Volatile Organic Compounds, which are chemicals found in paints, cleaning products and other household furnishings. VOCs evaporate into the air at room temperature and are thought to harm our health and the environment.
  • Why are zero VOC products better? Minimum-level or zero VOC products cut the amount of chemicals evaporating in your home. These make the air indoors fresher for you and your family. Lower VOC products are thought to alleviate allergy symptoms, headaches, and respiratory problems.
  • Safer, fewer or no chemicals We are continually looking out for new products that can reduce pollutants in your home. In 2012, we introduced Clean Spirit, for example, a water based non toxic alternative to white spirit.
