Trade Discount Card
The Trade Discount Card scheme is only available to Traders in the United Kingdom, excluding the Channel Islands.
- Is this card the same as my trade account card?
No. Your Trade Account Card is a method of payment. Your Trade Discount Card allows you to receive discount on your purchases.
- Do I get discount on everything?
You will get varied discounts as detailed in our information leaflets.
- How do I receive my discount?
Your discount is sent by a cheque, which is attached to your statement each month and reflects purchases made until the end of the previous month.
- Who is the cheque made out to?
The cheque can be made payable to either your personal or business name and cashed with your bank.
- Does my discount include goods I have ordered?
Yes, but these goods only qualify once you have taken delivery.
- Does the discount include promotional goods?
Most of the time yes but you should check with your local trade team before you buy if in doubt.
- Is there a Trade Discount Card helpline?
You can contact the Trade Discount helpline line on 0845 257 5815. You can use this to change your details, obtain extra cards for employees and business partners, find out more about statement, rebate, cheque details or if you lose your card.

Trade Account Card
- Is this card the same as my trade discount card?
No. Your Trade Account Card is a method of payment. Your Trade Discount Card allows you to receive discount on your purchases.
- If I apply for a discount card does that mean I am applying for a credit account as well?
No. You should be offered a credit account at the same time as you open a trade discount card but there is a separate application process. The best way to open an account is at the trade desk of a B&Q warehouse
- Is the Trade Account Card a credit card?
No. The trade account card is a charge account. What you spend in one month has to be paid at the end of the next month.
- Do I get a VAT invoice when I leave the store?
You’ll get a VAT till receipt with every purchase and then we send you an invoice, typically at the end of the month with your statement.
- When is payment due on invoices?
If you bought something on the 1st of the month then you would have up to 60 days credit. However anything bought after that date reduces the time to pay. What you spend in one month has to be paid at the end of the next month.
- Can I set up a direct debit to pay my monthly statement?
Yes. We recommend this as a means of payment, so that you are never late with a payment.
- Can I look at my invoices on-line?
No. Unfortunately this facility is not available at the moment
- Can I get additional cards for my work colleagues?
Yes. The account holder can add up to 999 additional cards on their main account.
- Can my discount card cheque be automatically applied straight to my Trade Account Card?
No. These are not connected.
