TradePoint looks and feels like a trade counter, combining the familiarity of a merchant environment with the speed and efficiency of the Screwfix and B&Q formats.
TradePoint has it's own unique identity within B&Q, making it easy for Trade and Retail customers to differentiate between the two shopping formats. TradePoint is located within B&Q stores and is a segregated area for trade only, so retail customers will not have access.

The Merchandising function plays a pro-active role in business change and growth by producing customer and operationally focused layouts for all product types. Responsible for producing logical and visually impacting store design, the team analyse data to ensure product space and adjacencies are optimised and that the planograms have enough stock to meet customer demand. Working cross functionally the merchandising team ensure they deliver low cost implementation for all new ranges into TradePoint.
Responsible for ensuring that all the functions within TradePoint are aligned when delievering change and making business decisions which will have an impact on the store and the customer. Day to day responsibilities include supporting stores with trading plans, operational issues, setting targets and measuring business performance and contribuition. Acting as the link between the central team and stores, the Operations team is heavily involved in shaping the strategic vision of the business and bringing the plans together to deliver and implement successfully and smoothly.
The main objective of the marketing team is to grow our Trade market share through creating awareness of the TradePoint brand amongst our target customer base. Working very closely with the Customer Insights and Commercial teams supports our marketing approach. Some of the areas of repsonsibility include the production of the TradePoint Catalogue, Direct Mails, SMS messaging promoting products and the TradePoint brand, On-line Marketing and designing concepts for national and trade press.
Repsonsible for range, product and price in order to drive sales and margin targets. Accountable for ensuring that the TradePoint catalogue is updated with new products each quarter including product information appropriate for the customer, presented in a way which maximises the ease of shopping. Delivering promotional plans, both in the catalogue and additional offers to help drive appropriate products to the key trade customer at the right time of the year.
