Softwood Chips provide a slightly lower cost alternative to bark for mulching beds and borders, but are still highly effective in moisture and weed control. One pack covers between 2 and 4 square metres when spread at between 50mm and 25mm deep. For optimum weed control, a depth of 50mm (2 inches) is recommended.
