Buxus or Box has been used for centuries in formal gardening schemes, to produce neatly clipped evergreen hedges and topiary shapes. They are very tough plants and can survive in most aspects and soil conditions. When planting your hedge, it is best to leave them to establish and put on new growth in the spring before the first trim, as they are slow growing plants. This palnt will be 20-30cm tall at purchase, growing up to 3m high.
