The Eco Bat Box combines a UV stabilised, weatherproof shell made from 100% recycled plastic, with a wooden internal roost chamber. The shell is constructed from recycled plastic made from bale wrap, collected from UK farms and other plastic waste. Inside is a wooden roost chamber made from UK grown rough sawn untreated timber which provides plenty of grip for bats to move around, hang and roost from. In the UK, different bat species have different roost requirements. Dimensions (mm): H510 x W225 x D145, with 17mm wide entrance slot and single internal cavity

Features and benefits
The Eco Bat Box with cavity roosting chamber is designed for cavity roosting bats such as Brown Long-Eared bats and Noctules with a single internal cavity 60mm wide with rough walls and roof for bats to hang from. No maintenance or cleaning is required as it’s designed with angled baffles to allow droppings to simply fall out of the entrance slot. A landing ladder at the base of the box makes access for bats easy. Can be mounted on buildings or trees - position as high as possible in a sheltered sunny place. PLEASE NOTE: All bats and roosts are protected by law and you should only open a bat box to check it if you hold an appropriate licence
