Turmeric comes with several health benefits such as easing inflammation and increasing antioxidants within the body. Can be kept in the fridge or frozen for use all year round.

- Choose a place in the garden in sun or partial shade. The soil should be open and well drained. Plant ginger plants 50cm apart. Plant the root at an angle with tapered end at the bottom of the planting hole. The top of the root should be just below soil surface. Water well in dry spells.
