Over the weekend of 12 to 14 June, the B&Q Foundation launches its first-ever BB&Q, a nationwide initiative bringing colleagues and customers together to raise funds for people experiencing homelessness or unsuitable housing.
The funds raised will help the B&Q Foundation support those experiencing homelessness or unsuitable housing by creating safe, welcoming homes through cash grants distributed to local charities to help provide home improvements and home-starter kits.
Since 2020, the Foundation has raised over £10 million and donated to more than 1,500 projects, helping over 600,000 people rebuild their lives, and the BB&Q is another way we can all contribute to that impact.

Whether it’s in your garden, at the allotment or in your community, hosting a BB&Q is easy, fun and a great way to give back. With downloadable materials and helpful advice, we’ve made it simple to plan and bring your event to life.
5 simple steps to hosting your own BB&Q!
1. Pick your date and location: Choose a time and place that works for you—your garden, a park or a shared space with friends, family or neighbours.
2. Invite your guests and let them know you're fundraising for the B&Q Foundation: Use our downloadable invitation and posters to help promote your BB&Q and get everyone involved.
3. Keep it simple or go all out: Think classic BBQ favourites, games, raffles or competitions to bring people together. You can also download our scavenger hunt and activity sheet to add extra fun for guests of all ages.
4. Fire up the BBQ: Have fun and enjoy spending time with your guests while raising money for a great cause. If you purchase a BBQ sold and shipped by B&Q between 5 and 18 June, we'll donate £15 to the B&Q Foundation!*
5. Donate your funds: Once your event is complete, pay in your fundraising using our Just Giving page, and help support projects across the UK.
