Bought this item but the instructions mentioned plugging in the red and black cables but this item doesn't come with the cables required for use!

This item works well once you realise that the internal battery is sealed and needs to be unscrewed from its casing, unwrapped and connected up! The instructions do not cover this important aspect and you may think that it is faulty! Perhaps the manufacturer should review the instructions more carefully?

The one problem that I have found is that the hold button is too easily pressed when handling the unit. This can make the unit inoperative and until you have discovered the problem can make it seem defective.

I bought this at my local B&Q in Garthdee because I needed a multimeter urgently. This multimeter looks professional but it really isn't.

Here are my main observations:
- The wire connectors are lose on mine so the com wire keeps slipping out of its plug and interrupts the reading
- It has the world's worst instruction manual with some Engrish for your entertainment.
- A backlit screen would be super useful
- You need a screwdriver to access the battery and you need to unwrap the battery and reinsert it before you can start to use the device (no biggie but annoying)

The wire connectors are without doubt the most annoying gripe and they make this thing unreliable, which is a shame. I would prefer for the multimeter to have less of a pro look with rubberised bull and more built quality where it mattered.

Considering that you can get autorange, backlit multimeters with more features for that price elsewhere online, I wouldn't recommend this.
