Excellent Door for the Price
Springfieldmac - 3 years ago
Bought this a couple of weeks ago to replace a damaged back door. It was the first time I've ever fitted a door and frame although I'm fairly happy to have a go at most diy projects.
The door and frame were ordered on line and I took advantage of the free delivery. (Although I did pop into my local store to check out the door prior to ordering). It arrived in a couple of days and there was good comms letting me know when to expect the delivery.
I carefully removed the old door and frame just in case I might have to reuse it. I then spent some time cleaning up the opening before test fitting the door and frame. Note the instructions recommend removing the doo if you have the space above I didn't. The door and frame are heavy so you need a second person to help move it. I used my teenage son. I needed to shave a coupl of mm from one corner to make it fit. I also bought a 300 mm masonry bit and some long anchors designed for fitting double glazing. I also got a couple of tubes of white corking and a can of expanding foam. All this came to around a tenner. Once the door was in place and secured I filled in a couple of small gaps with foam and finished off with the corking.
It took me with my sons help the best part of a day from start to finish.
I got a quote from my local double glazing fitter to see what I had saved and would have charged £1200 to fit and supply a similar product. So I'm a happy chap.
Great value!!

Great door for the money only slightly let down by poor adjustment for the 4 pins on the multi-point locking system. The keeper for the main bolt and also the hinges have loads of adjustment.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy another door in the future!
top quality door!

This is a very well made door, the only downside is that the keepers for the 4 multi-point locking pins have no adjustment for in and out, the hinges have loads of adjustment as does the keeper for the main bolt of the lock.
I wouldn't hesitate to use this type of door again.
