Amazing looking worktop

Great item. Bought it last month and after a lengthy wait it was delivered in time scheduled.
Although it's a new type of material our fitters didn't have any problems with cutting or fitting it. As it's solid there's no need for laminate strips on edges. Looks contempory and expensive. Only thing would say to sand the edges a bit as they very sharp.
Fabulous looking a bit like natural slate

I completed an IT kitchen using this worktop. I wanted to be able to cut rounded corners and to use an undermount sink. The look is fantastic. It can be cut with a circular saw or jig saw but cutting is slow, it does however finish very nicely with a router but use a good quality new blade for best results. I glued my joints with a black PU40 automotive adhesive which cures slowly giving time to adjust the joints. Warning - the worktop thickness varies slightly and it's important to match the top surfaces at joints. The worktop is relatively hard however I am pretty sure it would mark if abused with knifes or sliding rough stone dishes. It's very heavy and may require two people particularly for the 900 wide surface. Our initial intention was to have a granite worktop but this solid core worktop was a good compromise at a much lower cost.
Strong and great looking, however......

I've only just finished fitting this worktop in my kitchen and I'm impressed with the build quality and looks on the santini anthracite gloss. The installation process however is where I have been most disappointed. As the worktop is solid laminate core of resin and craft paper cutting of any sort is lengthy and will quickly dull the sharpest of blades (I used trend 12.7mm) another let down is in the instructions supplied with the worktop, it states that to pull the join together to create a tight joint that wooden blocks should be hot melt glued to either side of the joint allowing you to use clamps to pull both sides together, this method does not work! And you will find on all occasions the slightest pressure will pop them off. In the end I had to use wedges between the worktop and walls to bring the join together.
I would recommend this worktop based on style alone but not for ease of installation.
Hope this helps
