Reviews
Solid Pine 15 Lite Glazed Door
TMBoTS - 3 years ago
I was replacing all the doors and needed three different sizes, because it's an old house.
Two were very good but one had a manufacturing fault.
Otherwise the quality of the door was very good, and could almost be described as clear pine.
One thing to note is the glass is clear, not obscure glass as shown in one picture.
The instructions say the glass is marked as toughened glass but only one of the three doors has these markings.
B&Q were very easy to get it replaced except the replacement was delivered on one day and collected on another.
As these are not available for collection, this meant I had to take three days off work.
These are value for money if you have the time to wait for delivery.
Knotty pine gazed door
an awel - 4 years ago
This is the second knotty pine door I have purchased from B and Q.
The first one was finished and installed by me several years ago and has met all my expectations. Unfortunately, with regard to the new door, I have been disappointed by the overall quality; the main frame is made up of different strips of wood jointed together, the wood is soft, of poor quality and has the feel of not having been fully seasoned. Also the wood fillets holding the glass were poorly finished.
I cannot fault the service I received from B and Q, but am less than satisfied with the quality of my latest purchase.
