I purchased this product to replace the brush method and another Cuprinol sprayer as it was supposed to be quicker and the use of the integral brush made it supposedly twice as quick as using a brush. The bottom hose connection liquid leaked after painting 2 panels, even though tight finger tight and secure. The spray on the brush was VERY ineffective and easily causes over-spray (not as accurate as brush), the spray/brush application was VERY slow to apply the preservative. After 3 panels pored the excess preservative back into the tub and used a fence brush, that was 1 Quicker, 2 minimal coverage beyond treated area, 3 Better finish 4 bristles managed to treat the gaps between the fence slats. I have used the battery powered Cuprinol sprayer in the past and it was far better than this sprayer. I strongly recommend using a brush that is at least twice as quick and gives a far better finish and you can easily treat the to the top ad bottom edges.

Well made and does as advertised. As long as you read and follow the instructions this product is great.
Complete waste of money

I brought this as had painting fences and thought anything that will help me get it done quicker would be worth spending money on. At first it was great, I had 2ltrs of paint left in tin and completed first couple of panels and little fence well, I then had to put new tin of paint in that did seem thicker (same paint Cuprinol garden shades) and it didn’t spray as well and eventually it came out so slow it was pointless. I cleaned the spray and again last a minute and back to very slow spray. Ditched it and went back to using just a brush. Complete waste of time and money.
I'll never use a brush again!

Although cognisant of the few negative reviews on here, but faced with an entire small garden to do, I took a punt on this, albeit with some initial reservations. These proved to be needless - a brief practice with water made me confident, & no more than 2 hours later I'd sprayed around 16+ 6x5 panels (both sides!) - and without lathering myself with splashes! Just keep the pressure high, wipe the nozzle clear periodically to clear drying treatment, & all will be ok. Sure, the sprayable Cuprinol is quite expensive, but the speed and ease with which it goes on more than compensates - if I were brushing I'd expect to spend at least 6+ hours on the task, have appalling wrists & be in a right mess at the end!
Very heartily recommended!

Bought this to replace older style sprayer that broke, almost 3 times faster and really easy to clean.
Even used the water I was cleaning it with to rinse the brush clean.
Brilliant idea combining the brush!!
