Nice looking summer house
Katymilne - 5 months ago
I love this summer house, but since it was assembled in November, problems have arisen. The door has warped, and doesn't close properly. The timber has so many knots which turn into holes, forever filling with wood filler! Wonder how it will stand up to our weather. On plus side, it is lovely, and I spend hours in it. Delivery was on time, so no problems there.
Good size looks great

Downside was when delivered one of glass panes was broken I had to buy another which cost £15 apart from that it was good

I bought this summer house a month ago and I wish I had asked b and q to put it together
Instructions are not very clear so it's still not finished.
Only rate it fair as nothing to compare
Golden boy - 4 years ago
Two people required to build but managed most of it myself odd time asked wife to hold panels square for me.
Rated as fair as I have nothing to compare against as first build, or it may have been less . Build itself is was only for the diyer as the wood is all untreated it needs sealing and treating between the poorly fitting and open joints as there all water traps, something there joiners I don't think would do . As for the wood used it is light weight cheap poor quality full of knots, twisted and one of the roof spars was spilt. These at the top of the roof had to be screwed together to give the roof some rigidity. I had to buy extra wood for the front overhang so there was something for the decorative edge to nail on to.The galvy nails supplied for the roof felt are to short once hammered in can be picked out with your finger nails so more expence .
Instructions were ok for me, only thing that was a real pain is the way there printed two pages on one side on A4 paper back n front which is all wrong as I cut them in half and tried to make a book out of them which can not be done as you may have page 3 on the front and page 7 on the back upside down so you have to juggle them about a lot.
Windows and Doors would have benefitted from being internally galazed as these are all water traps trying to treat them with out dripping preserver all over them is a real mess .Doors were slightly twisted so don't fit flush and door latch was so loosely made it went in the bin so yet more expence. Also came with a broken pain of glass which seems common occurrence from other reviews but as its just in a corner I'm not to bothered about it.
So was it value for money, may be but with the extra's not sure would I buy again also may be have to look at others. When I purchased I thought I'd get floor, four sides and a roof these are all made up in several pieces which you have to make up.A top tip here watch which way you put floor and roof panels together as there are finished edges and grooved edges from tounge and grooving make sure you get them the right way round or you will have a weak edge on the outside edge.So now its finished it looks the part but it is flimsy the real test is time.
So take your time and enjoy
