The bars on this rail corrode.

This is the second identical Acova towel warmer that I have installed. I had to replace the first one because the bars went rusty and began to leak. Just over 5 years ago I installed a replacement. I recently noticed that many of the bars have now gone rusty underneath as you will see in the photograph. Unfortunately the towel warmer is just out of guarantee! There is clearly an issue with this warmer. Two other makes that I have elsewhere in the house have never had any problem.
Rusty by two years!

The coating isn't damp proof so you need heat through it on a daily basis to ensure the towels/flannels dry quick enough. We tend not to have the central heating on for 6 months of the year and the top rails have cracked and rusted. Also rusted by the connection to the valve! Not really fit for purpose.
A good quality product

I already have this towel warmer in my bathroom and was happy to buy it again for another project. It looks good, gives out loads of heat and accommodates a number of towels, so great for family bathrooms.

Looks really good on the bathroom and the heat it gives off is amazing, it's one of the warmest rooms in the house now. If you are thinking of buying you won't be disappointed. Ps Buy white valves for the finishing touch.

Great product but this is a replacement for the same one that started to rust after only 12 months. The rust started to come through the paint where damp towels were left to dry. Given that drying damp towels is one of its primary functions I wonder if the pain/power coating is up to the job? After 4 years the radiator was so bad it had to be replaced. If this replacement goes the same way I will be asking B&Q for my money back as I will have proved that its not fir for purpose.
