Instructions picture mismatch for part
Jack_23_09_20 - 6 days ago
I am attempting to assemble this cabinet. The instructions' picture for parts do not match the parts found in the box. The door hinge parts I have have a right way and wrong way to screw in to the panel. There are 4 of them (8 screws) to screw in, but which way?

Cabinet is sturdy and assembles easily, however considering this is a bathroom cabinet was disappointed to see that the rear edges of the side panels were left as bare chipboard. Over time these edge will absorb moisture from the humid damp environment of the bathroom and eventually bubble and blister. Considering the cost, a couple of edging strips would have sealed the edges. Going to pva mine and buy some iron on edging.
Assembly instructions: And then Magic Happens
WorstLudditeEver - 1 year ago
Ok, this seems to be a nice enough unit. Suitable for the purposes bought for and at a reasonable price.
However: The assembly instructions are next to useless. In particular, going from step 3 to 4. Step three is the final stage of inserting the various fixings. This is fair. Step 4 is then an exploded diagram of all the components fitting together, then tightening the fittings on the same step.
What was not clear was that it is necessary to fit the sides to the back, then fit the top on after. I worked it out myself easily, however without the experience of putting together assorted units from many different suppliers I would have struggled.
Additionally there were other minor niggles; the bolts supplied within the handle package are garbage (there are decent bolts included in the main pack though), there is protective film over some of the surfaces, and no indication as to when to remove it.
Be aware if purchasing: You will require your own wall fixings (My preference since there are so many wall types)
You will need to ensure you understand how the components fit together before carrying out the assembly stage.
If you haven't put together much flat packed furniture before, best ask a friend who has to help.
