Generally, a well made and effective unit. Much heavier than the budget unit it replaced, which says something for the construction. Not sure why it has a review of having a poor flush, as I have found this to be very effective, even on the low volume flush, and far better than what it replaced. Did feel that the push button assembly was a bit flimsy, but should be ok in use if correctly fitted. The fitting instructions for the flush mechanism could be confusing for someone with no fitting experience. The unit supplied was slighty different to those on the instruction sheet. Would be quite happy to recommend and use this model again.

I don't understand the poor reviews on this loo, it is well made with a perfect finish and a good firm seat, easy to install and works well. My only slight criticism is that the spongey coupling doughnut supplied is not that good so I replaced it with a rubber one, apart from that very pleased.
Looks good in an old house

Looks good. 2 things to note:1 Not all the measurements for fitting are on the box, you will need to refer to the B&Q web site. 2 The instructions for fitting the flush system in the cistern were unnessarily complicated as I had some extra bits, always a worry, and the diagrams referred to several types of fitting on the same page, the instructions even said the pictures may not represent what is in the box! Alright if you are a professional but how many toilets do most of us fit in a lifetime!
Top flushing rubbish

I had this toilet installed for less than a year, I was disappointed with the flushing mechanism which sounded like water running sometimes for days, I paid my plumber to replace the mechanism 3 times, then the plastic button cracked and fell apart, I am a builder and always try to install good quality, I ended up replacing the cistern for a ordinary side handled flush at my own cost. the whole experience with plumbing and extra fittings and hassle was not good not what you would expect from Armitage shanks. I like to buy British when I can
SHAME ABOUT THE FLUSH

Purchased this toilet for my cloakroom and the Ideal Standard Della for a bathroom. The Della was £20 more expensive. My plumber changed the ineffective flush and it is now a really good toilet. The Della comes with an effective flush and a soft close lid. On that basis, the Della wins. An Armitage Shanks soft close lid to fit the Sandringham is almost as much to buy as the toilet.
