Bought to fix a bad leak on a copper joint...fiddly and mayby not as thick/strong as some other brands but then its half the price and with lots of layers sealed the leak!
Useful - for the right job

This is self-amalgamating tape. When you wrap it on itself, it gradually fuses into a solid that can't be unpeeled. It's not hard to remove though - use a knife to cut it off. You need to stretch it a bit as you wrap it round - maintain some tension on the tape. It's not very sticky, but it seals well. Use it with a little silicone mastic for an emergency waste pipe repair. It's great for sealing leaky low pressure pipes.

There are 2 self fusing tape from B & Q, unfortunately this cheaper one was all that was available instore on the day I shopped. It does not compare to the heavier weight Diall product. It is flimsy to use, sticks to itself at every opportunity and in every way oozes cheap. With effort it works but if you want a quality job use the heavier and more expensive product.
