Purchased to tide me over whilst my petrol cutter is being repaired. Very impressed with it for the price. Nice weight and well balanced cut everything I threw at it. Wasn’t too keen on cutting leaf hedges and took longer than normal but flew through the blackthorn stuff! Large amount of hedges to do as well 2 hours worth. Overall very impressed!

I've only used it once for light/medium hedge trimming but it seems competent enough for the job No complaints so far.

After cutting a long church Gege with others, I noticed they zoomed along whilst I had to take frequent breaks with fatigue and arm ache. When trying someone else's trimmer I realised things had moved on from my heavy but sturdy B&D hedge chewer to lighter, faster sharper blades. Disgruntled, I did some research for a lighter more modern trimmer. I chose the B&Q one as good value for money and good reviews-I chose the slightly more powerful model as the price increase was minimal. Not a bad weight and the blades seem to move several times faster than my old B&D. It cuts really well although it seems to give off that sort of ozone motor odour that is remanisent of my old electric train set-when I were a lad-hopefully not the motor being overloaded by design. Cut through my hedges like butter. The only concern was through my fault was getting too close to a hidden cup holder on my Ivy covered Pergola which bent a cutting tooth. This was easily straightened with Mole Grips. The strurdier blades on the old B&D would not have flinched and just stopped the machine. I guess that's the compromise for lighter weight which I much prefer. So far excellent value for money!

Very good
