Bought to get paint off of wood doors it doesn't work at all. I followed the instructions and it only partially removed the paint. It's also very expensive for a product that doesn't work

Don’t bother

Does absolutely nothing, followed instructions to the letter and made no difference at all. Don’t waste your money

It must depend on what you're stripping

I have bought loads of this in store and have just stumbled upon the negative reviews on here. I can't imagine all the people who have had little success with this product have all failed to follow the instructions on the tub - so it must depend on what you're stripping.

I restore mid century wooden furniture, and this works great - I've never had a problem and only had good results. I leave the first coat on for around an hour, and then add a second coat for about half an hour. I'm then able to scrape off a good chunk of paint/varnish/gunk and apply a second coat and repeat maybe a third time before its a clean unfinished surface.

I've also used this stuff on an old metal Victorian fireplace, which must have been covered in around 10 layers of paint from over the years. It worked a treat (but took around 6 coats in total).

If you're taking paint off furniture, or want to remove an old finish off furniture - fully recommend.

I've added photos of my latest project, this stripper is the only product I used to remove the paint. NB: To get the paint out of the grain, it required a lot of elbow grease with a nylon brush, stripper and paint thinner.

Awful

This stuff is awful. Have tried on several occasions and it just turns the paint into a chewing gum like texture that is impossible to scrape off

Absolute Rubbish

This is not paint stripper, as it does not strip paint. This is a total waste of time and money.
