These are not the standard size to fit a 5mm hold - they are closer to 3.5mm and will not stay secure in the hole. It would help if the packet gave the diameter - a key piece of information. Not impressed.
Check the size!!

Might sound daft but I thought most cupboard shelving would have a standard diameter for the pins. My cupboard is 5mm and these are 3.5mm in diameter -not mentioned anywhere on the packet. These might be perfect for a B&Q kitchen but not for me.
Not the same as older version

I bought these as we wanted additional shelves in our kitchen units. Have previously bought similar from B&Q and had four left over in original pack and they worked well. The originals were product code was 03232484 and sold in packs of 8. These are product code 03209509, in packs of 12 and they are junk! As others have said, the back isn't flat so they don't sit flush into the sides of the units. However the "peg" is slightly conical, about 0.4mm narrower at the end. Consequently they bend down and slip out of the holes as soon as any weight is put on them, even an empty shelf! Obviously B&Q have switched to cheaper items and sacrificed quality. BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL STYLE!
Do not buy. Very poor product

I brought this product last month and despite them being 4 times the price as anywhere else online i de ided to buy them from the store as wanted the convenience of getting them same day.
However once i opened the pa ked abd tried to use them, it was clear they would not do the job they are designed for.
This is because the moulding of the product does not give a flat surface.
Once the supports are pushed into the holes they cannot sit flush to the back board causing a problem.
I brought some similar ones from elsewhere online, at a quarter of the price and the moulding was nice a flat and worked a treat.
Serious lack of quality control on these parts which have come from a moulding tool which is clearly old and warn out.
Very bad design

Rubbish design. Decent brackets have the pin held in place by the shelf. Pin is also tapered so doesn’t sit well into a drilled hole. Would not buy these again.
