Firstly, it's described as a shower kit, but it only contains one panel, so you need two for a shower. It's just 2mm thin, brittle plastic sheet. It's not hard to install but warps when heated by using the shower. The manufacturer says we must have installed it wrong and aren't interested. It'll all have to come back out, wish I'd have just tiled it in the first place, this isn't a solution, it's a waste of time and over a hundred pounds.

Quick to put up, but sealants don't stick so well. Also, joins don't always match. Good for little used rooms such as in holiday homes, but wouldn't recommend for main bathrooms.

Good for glueing over existing tiles. Very quick and easily cut. Perhaps not for "quality" bathrooms but great in the rental sector.

I bought three of these panels to do a shower. My view was that although more expensive than ceramic tiles, they were cheaper than a professional tiler and quicker than doing the tiling myself.

They were easy to cut and quick to fit, however that was where the benefits ended.

The included instructions indicate that they can be sealed using silicone bathroom sealant, which they can for about 2 days. The problem is that silicone sealant doesn't stick to them and pulls away after a day or two leaving joins to the shower tray, door etc., leaking!

You can use Evostick Nail and Seal to seal them, which you will need in large quantities anyway to stick the panels to the wall, however there is no indication that this will be mould resistant in the future, something that is important in a shower. Further, if as I did you use silicone sealant remover to remove any silicone sealant that you have misguidedly used to seal in these panels, it will dissolve the plastic they are made from!

My recommendation, stick to ceramic tiles, this is not an alternative.

A further note, they are big and difficult to transport: if you put them on the roof of your car make sure they are well supported and remove the corner strip to stop it being damaged.

    Better than tiling.

I have used this product and am very pleased with the result. The panels were applied on top of existing ceramic tiles and have produced a smart, clean and effective finish.
If there is one drawback it is that the recommended adhesive whilst great when set is not great at holding the panels in place initially. I would recommend a few spots of a strong instant adhesive applied to the panels as well as the recommended adhesive to get over the initial phase.
