The hinges themselves appear sturdy enough and do the job on a half height gate. The issue with this product is the screws supplied with it. In a word, they are terrible. They are flat head screws, but the notch for the screwdriver is so shallow that it is virtually impossible to fully engage a screw without rounding it. I tried multiple screwdrivers (all the right size) and managed to bugger every screw. This made what should have been a simple task of attaching hinges to a gate an overly complicated, laborious and stressful one! In the end I resorted to using cross head screws of my own. So I’d recommend the hinges, but would recommend buying cross head screws instead of the poorly designed screws supplied as part of the kit.
