Smart, modern looking, so unusual in security lighting. Very easy to install, but the diagram instructions are confusing. After installation it was not working to my satisfaction, but after two trips up a ladder after dusk all seems well.

Quick and easy to fit, poor testing instructions

It was really quick and easy to fit this as a replacement to an old outside light, however, need to be aware that the hole for the cable is off centre, so if you are replacing an existing light that has a 'centred' cable inlet you will probably have to drill new fixing holes (I was lucky).

The testing instructions are a bit confusing, the distance selector has a setting with conflicting markings: "Dusk to Dawn" and a picture of a "Sun and Moon". There is no written explanation of what this setting does and the wording suggests that this sets the unit to activate when it is dark (ie. between Dust and Dawn), however, this is not correct as when you select this you are able to test the unit in daylight! This said, if you just follow the pictures and ignore the wording on the switch then it is easy to set up (I also ignored step 2 which suggested there were 4 time settings (1, 3, 10min & 'infinity') - I could not work out what this step was testing).

Overall it seems reasonable value for money, it is a bright light and at 18watts should be cheap to run compared with the old halogen lights.
