Recently bought this machine several weeks ago after my old machine a Blyss 16L has given up after about 4 years use & appears to have been struck by a power surge, Very happy with this machine it runs lovely & quiet compared to previous model with no silly vibrations etc, does a fantastic job of holding the humidity level to a desired level to keep condensation away, only thing I will say is the humidity detector is maybe slightly optimistic as having it set on 50% as did with other machine on another humidity recording device in the home it seems to aim at pulling it aprox 5% lower than the old machine did so have set it up 5% to 55% which now controls the level back around what was used to with old machine, so you might find this is something will have to play with until you find a happy result but not going to let that affect the review of the machine as don't see it as a bad point & every machine may be slightly different in its accuracy. It is very simple to use & has an excellent size 5L collection tank which is great as it only needs to be emptied once a day under normal conditions once humidity is at a controlled level, one thins I will say is don't be worried about the 600W power rating thinking it's going to drastically boost energy bills up as I've had this on a meter & running at it's max this is on fastest fan speed & pump running where it isn't going to work any harder it's only drawing just under 400W at aprox 380W-390W, all in all a very nice machine, if this lasts another 4 years or so cant really complain, I know they are only have a warranty of 1 year but in fairness many products also have same, after all the previous model lasted about 4 years without any issues & suspect it may of lasted good while longer if hadn't been for a power surge
Humidity setting would not work

This was my first dehumidifier and initially I thought that it worked well. It's a pleasing design and simple to operate. I did find that the bucket was awkward to empty: it's easy enough to take out of the machine but a little tricky to empty although I'm sure it would be fine once you'd got the knack. It's worth noting, if you buy this machine, that you should take the bucket out before initially starting it up. The drainage hose is packed in the bucket and the "bucket full" switch is taped down for transit. This is not mentioned in the manual. My problem was that the machine seemed to take no notice of the humidity setting. If I set it to reduce humidity to, say, 55% the machine would carry on into the low 40s (and maybe further). The manual is very basic and offers no help on this. I took my machine back to the branch and they replaced it without question. The replacement behaved in exactly the same way so I took it back for a refund.
So easy to empty

So far fantastic, not had great success with dehumidifiers but never had problems with anything purchased from B& Q so worth a try
Dehumidifier that does the job

This is the second one that I have bought, exactly the same model. I did not read the instructions for the first one carefully enough, which said that you should not run the dehumidifier for longer than 28 days continuously (should turn off for a while), so I think that the motor must have burned out, judging by the loud noise it was making. So second time around, no problems!
It really works and simple to use

Bought this 2 days ago after my ancient but very good Hotpoint 5500 broke Ive had cheaper ones running at the same that didnt last long and weren't very efficient. I'm very surprised how effective this is just on the lower setting and in a short time too. I'm very happy with it hope it lasts many years.
