All whoosh and no go!

This thing is like a jumbo jet with only two engines instead of four - 134 litre capacity drum which can't be used because of its mickey mouse motor; and the quality is really naff and flimsy - you'd be better getting a second-hand Belle...!!
Perfect for those little jobs

Bought to mix cement for a shed base and it has surpassed my novice expectations.
After reading some of the reviews saying that the motor burns out, I was hesitant but after using it for a few days, it is perfect.
I mixed at 12 spade of ballast and 3 cement and it chewed through it with no problem spitting out a full barrow load of perfect cement every time. Great little buy if you are putting down a base, erecting a fence or tackling a larger project.
Take note, this is a cement mixer so is not light and you'll probably need a second person to help lift it onto the swivel stand but once up, single person use is totally achievable.
Complete waste of money - AVOID!

After reading the glowing reviews on this mixer and seeing the reasonaw price I decided to purchase it back in May. First impressions it was very solidly built and straightforward to assemble. I used it once for a very small job and it worked fine. The problems started when I used it to mix concrete for a 8ft x 6ft shed base in our garden. After getting there quarters the way through mixing approx 600 kg of ballast I heard a strange noise coming from the motor and then the drum started slowing down and eventually stopped!
I had only been mixing a small amount at a time approx 12 small spades worth of ballast and cement and I though it might have just overheated so turned it off for half an hour. Of course at the time I was furious as the mixer had not been used much and I had to carry on mixing concrete by hand in the barrow!
So then I tried to start it again ( after shovelling out the concrete half mixed) hoping it was just a glitch but once again after around 10 seconds the grinding noise came back and the drum stopped turning with the motor now making a loud humming noise. This happened several times so I decided it was not fit to use anymore and had to mix 10 or more barrow loads of concrete by hand to finish off, which was fun.
I returned it to the store immediately for a refund and must say the staff were very good and I was happy with that at least. But overall I can not recommend this mixer, it caused me a lot of hassle and not fit for purpose, to only last about 3 hours of work is totally unacceptable no matter how cheap it is.

I bought it for a small job in my garden, after couple of mixing a noise start to be heard from the drum and couple more mixing motor stop working at all (total 8-9 mixing) just waste of time to get it and return, and a job not finished
