Lovely edging but tightly coiled

Apparently the edging used to come with the worktops, laid flat and easy to cut and stick in place. Now it comes coiled up in a box and it is more difficult to stick flat as a result. Otherwise the product looks really good and finishes off the worktop edge beautifully.
