SHORT ANSWER: AVOID! - I bought these as thought would be easier to lay myself than a vinyl sheet and quicker and as this was only a temporary measure seemed a good idea. I have laid carpet tiles before so didn't think this would be any different. I now regret this decision and if I could take these up without taking most the floor underneath I would. The black glue on the back gets everywhere! Being a light coloured tiles you can see this over spilling from the joints and. You can't clean this off easily, had to resort to using a paint scraper, which I'm sure took off some of the top coating. Probably worked out more expensive than buying vinyl with the wastage from the offcuts and more time consuming due to the scraping off of the Glue. laid 2 days ago and already lifting. In all what a complete waste of money and I would suggest everyone (especially novice diyers) avoid. However it given a good surface to lay vinyl sheet over the top. They are also extremely slippery even when not wet and since this is an entrance way not good.

I brought these for my small toilet, easy to lay, very sticky so make sure to cut correct, I used a paper template and drew it to the tile. Just take your time or get a professional to lay them. They look good in pleased.

Great as long as you don't walk on them!

    Discombobulated - 3 years ago

I bought these for the floor of an old larder I am using as a cleaning cupboard. I stuck them on over old vinyl tiles and contrary to the previous reviews I found them to be extremely sticky. I had a job to lift one I had slightly misplaced and it snapped, luckily I had lots of spares. They can be cut with sturdy scissors, I found a Stanley knife slipped around too much.
They look nice but are extremely slippery underfoot. For what I want this is great as I don't need to actually walk on them and the fridge slides around on them - great, I can move it easily to clean underneath!
However, I fear that had they been fitted in my kitchen or bathroom I would most certainly be in A & E by now.
So, for cheap cupboard flooring great, I shall keep them as they look lovely & clean but they are not fit for purpose otherwise.
