Looks ok, but supplied screws too long

Although looks ok on our uk std 35mm internal oak veneer doors doors the supplied 25mm long screws can't be used if the door has a deadlock fitted which is to be operated by this thumbturn. They should be supplied with 12mm (1/2 inch) screws. I don't know what the very long "through bolts" are for at all, again unusable for most I would think. They come with no information or instructions at all except for some drawings indicating a handle being fitted which seems completely irrelevant to this product. Although made, of course, in China they say that the manufacturer is a UK one. Someone should tell them what kind of doors we have here. These are currently (late 2019) available in several different finishes from B&Q, I think they all have this same problem.
