Not what it says on the tin!

I bought this paint for my woodwork to match the Antique White emulsion I used on my ceiling. However, this paint was more like Brilliant White and not the slight off-white colour of the emulsion. I have emailed B&Q about this (twice) but have had no response. Also, one coat is definitely not enough, I did 2 coats of primer/undercoat, so had a good base to paint on, but it still needs another coat. I have rated value as very poor as I now have to buy another tin of paint to match the ceiling.
One coat, absolute rubbish!

I was sold this in store with the recommendation of the staff that it would be fine to use as a one coat (as it indeed states)
The paint (black eggshell) dried with an uneven finish and quite shiny considering it was eggshell.
I needed two coats and it is like painting with tar! Very thick and gundgy.
I should have listened to my instincts and gone traditional with an undercoat and top coat.
Never again will I waste £13.20 on this rubbish again!
Paint for woodwork

Does what it says on tin. When used on woodwork. Brushes require cleaning in white spirit or equal.

Definitely not a silk finish if you are looking for silk/matt finish this is definitely not for you I haven't seen more glossy finish than this. First coat took about 24h to dry (around 18h it was 90% dry but as i couldn't wait any longer decided to put another coat, which it needed) and yes it has a strong smell - just hope it wont last long. Looks ok now but unfortunately i will have a gloss finish which i would never have gone for myself
