Product Information

This Olive tree satin wood & metal paint has been specially designed to give a durable and long-lasting finish on a range of surfaces. Simply apply 1 coat with a brush or roller and leave for 12 hours to dry - a great way to give the surfaces additional protection. Covers up to 10 m² per litre on average.

    Features and Benefits

At B&Q we want you to be satisfied with your colour selection. Not all monitors will display colours the same and paint tins may not show the same colour as your walls do in natural light. We therefore recommend you order a tester pot online or pop in store to pick one up so you are sure that this is the right colour for you.

    • Great coverage in just one coat, saving you time and money
    • We recommend using a one coat roller for optimal application
    • For best results follow the instructions on the tin carefully, a second coat may be required if overpainting a darker colour with a lighter top coat

    Health and Safety

Please note that this item has additional safety or regulatory datasheets available. The product may have possible health and safety hazards covered in these documents. Refer to the container for full information and always follow the instructions.

All of our walls and ceilings are white, this is a lovely colour for woodwork - even just the skirting boards add a little life and works well with our walnut coloured floorboards

It's now a month since I painted the wooden legs and frame of our kitchen table. Colour and coverage is good, but not one coat.

However, the paint takes forever to dry, and to date almost a month has elapsed and the paint has not dried fully, leaving marks on hands and clothing. Even the paint around the rim of the tin lid is still tacky.

Given that your labour is the most valuable part of any painting project, I'd suggest trying something else.

Half used tin returned today but the store would only issue a credit note.

    Stick to Dulux...

NOT what is says on the tin.

    Did I miss something?
I bought this paint to do my skirtings in the kitchen. I bought SATIN but when I opened the tin, it had the greasy scent of gloss. I began to paint and the consistency was that of a gloss paint, which I don't like and is the reason I chose satin. I painted inside with doors and windows open on a dry, sunny day. The instructions said re-coat in 12 hours (which I initially thought was odd as it is described as a 'one coat' paint) 18 hours later and it is still sticky, although it does need another coat because I applied the first coat thinly and it is patchy. It has a gloss finish, not satin :( I will take it back and ask to exchange it for another tin. I will update with my results.....watch this space......

On the plus side, it is a wonderful colour and complements the Dulux Overtly Olive kitchen paint beautifully :)

    Not very olive in colour

I bought this to paint a 6x6 ft shed. This sized tin covered 3 sides just about. It's not very olive in colour as the name suggests. More grey with a hint of olive green. It's covered very well with one coat. It's very thick. All in all I'm happy.

Lovely to work with & lovely colour

I used this satin finish paint on interior pine doors. It covers beautifully, very easy to apply. Olive Tree shade is not too green, a puttyish shade of pale green, just perfect on my doors. Pls note it is quite glossy for satin finish, so brush stokes do catch the light so use a fine brush to get a nice finish. I would buy again. Very pleased with the finish.
