I agree with matt168. Pine being a very light wood is difficult to match using oil. You would probably have to stain it first, in my honest opinion.
I used this deep mahogany oil to match a customers' new handrail (in a loft conversion), to the original handrails leading up the main stairway. The original rail is real mahogany, but coated with years of varnish making it very dark.
I applied 4 coats of Danish oil to the new handrail (also genuine mahogany), and the results were amazing. It matched perfectly!
I would never use Danish oil to try and colour light wood, try staining it first!

    Terrible colour matching

Bought two tins of this. Applying them to pine from the same bundle of wood resulted in two completely different colours. I'm deeply disappointed as this was to make one large piece of furniture and somehow I have to tidy up this messy result. The oil itself is fine and quite easy to apply, but you can't trust the colour on the tin.
