Bought a couple of years ago. I got it up and working in a bay window but it was not an easy job. The curtains never ran smoothly around the bends even though I had been very careful to make the curve very gradual.

Now one of the parts has snapped so I will have to replace the whole thing unless I can find a replacement bit.

Definitely not recommended.

Does the job

Bought this then read the reviews so was apprehensive. Followed the instructions, fitted to a bay window, not 90 but 120 degrees. Bent ok followed instructions on how to bend, it was easy. Don't normally leave a review but a competent person can install without breaking as previous people have stated, but I weren't going to a 90 degree angle!

Useless rubbish

This was bought, in store, for a bay window with a fairly gradual curve and chosen because the packaging states it is suitable for bays and heavy curtains. The chord feature seemed luxurious and we were happy to pay the extra for it. Once the track was up (took my competant DIY husband hours) we put the curtains on and tried to close them with the chord. Nothing would budge. One reasonably strong tug brought the entire system and fixings crashing to the floor. At this point we should have taken it back to the shop, but we were tired and determined to have curtains up, so decided we would remove the chord system and try again - turning it into a £25 track instead of a £48 one. We put everything back up again and added the curtains. 2 days later, the fixings that hold the track in place popped open and the curtains and track fell to the ground again. Because we can't use the chord, the curtains sag at 1 end where the chord mechanism is. We're eventually going to have to change it. It is clearly not suitable for heavy curtains, and it does not appear B&Q sell anything that is other than rods which do not work on bay windows. If it had not been such a pain to put up in the first place, we would have returned it, however as it is, we're stuck with it.

Simply Awful!

Bought this for a bay - followed instructions to the letter - achieved two 90 degree bends for the bay (very carefully). put it up and it looked very neat. I then hung the curtains on it and the nightmare began. Although designed for 90 degree bends, the curtains struggle to move around the bend. Thought it was the string mechanism which was causing the problem, so removed the string and pulleys altogether. It has made no difference. The curtains just wont close or open properly. The curtain pins catch on the L-shaped locking brackets - this is clearly a design fault. We had no such problem with the previous plastic track made by Swish. because I have bent and shortened it, I cannot return it, so that's £48.00 wasted. Avoid at all cost unless you want stress.

I bought this for a straight window that was 3.2m wide and am very happy with it. It is well made and I had no problems fitting it. I screwed the fixings to a length of 2x1 inch painted timber and screwed the timber to the wall. The brackets aren't visible and the centre join is covered. I wanted a corded track where cords at one end control both curtains, so was disappointed to find that there is a loop of cord at each end, which only draws one of the curtains. So I have to draw one curtain then walk three and a half metres to draw the other one. On reflection, if I hadn't cut the draw cords to length, it would have been possible to re-configure the strings so that pulling a string at one end either opened or closed both curtains. I may buy some more curtain cord and make this change in future, but it means dismantling the whole thing. It would be worth the supplier including the two ways of configuring the cord system in the instructions.
