We have always had metal curtain tracks up to now, but the reviews for the metal ones were not very good. However, I had my doubts about a plastic tracks - not least about one that came in a roll! - I wondered if it would sit in a straight line in the centre of the bay window.
This is a well designed kit, I especially like the system of locking the track to the mounting brackets.
The only minor criticism, is the end caps that require a screwdriver to remove them when the curtains are taken down. I have (hopefully) overcome this by tightening the screws JUST sufficient to grip the track when they are pushed on, so with a bit of luck, the end caps will stay in place until they are pulled off when we take the curtains down.
This product was easy to fit, even in our 'awkward' bay window, so presumably it would be even easier on a straight window.
Six end caps are supplied, so the same track can be cut to fit up to three smaller windows.
Comes with a 10 year guarantee.
Great smooth track at a great price

Bought to fit a bedroom bay window. Looks great and curtains (medium weight with a separate lining) glide along beautifully. Great track for the price
Poor, worth less than 1!

Steer clear of product, waste of money and does not work.
Just saved £560 because of this!

We have a quite large front bay window and went to ** to buy a curtain rail kit off the shelf for about £150 total with all the bits. We were 'sold up' to having a made to measure curtain rail from ** for which a fitter visit was needed.
The estimate was £560 for a white plastic curtain rail which would have to be
'fitted by a professional' (something a punter like me couldn't possibly do).
So I had a look in my local B&Q. Got the contour kit, fitted it on Sunday morning.
Easy. £15. Done.
just the job
