Bought this yesterday, hubby who is not known for his diy skills, fitted it easily! Time will tell if it stays in place but its in the en-suite so only the two of us using it. Best feature is the easy removal for through cleaning.
Excellent quality soft-close toilet seat.

We bought this in white on 6th February and were very impressed with it. With grandchildren a soft-close seat is a must.We paid £20 for it. Within a few days we received an email with a £5 voucher off our next purchase over £25. We returned to the same store today to buy the same product and the price had increased to £29, almost a third more expensive. We did question this in store with a member of staff who in turn spoke to the manager about it. Their answer was that some items in store have increased in price and there was nothing they could do. Great. My gripe is that there was a huge pile of this item in store, I don't believe all the stock was sold and replenished.
Very good instructions - very easy to fit

My DIY skills are not great so a little worried when I could not find a specific replacement seat for the make and model of our toilets. Nothing on the internet to help so went into B&Q with a tape measure and took every measurement possible on the (about 20) seats on display to see how they compared. This was closest so bought one and took home. When I opened the box it had very clear and explicit instructions on key measures to make and how to fit - very simple to follow. If only that info had been available before opening the box :-). First one took about 30 mins in all to fit - last of three took about 5 mins - and I now know how to adjust toilet seats to the millimetre to get them in the right place for the pads etc ! Suggest B&Q produce simple guide to how to choose replacement seats - key measurements and advice - would be really helpful.
Good value and comfortable

Baffled by some of the negative comments I've tried multiple seats to find one that doesn't slide about and this is rock solid. First a plastic insert goes into the two holes at the back of the toilet this means the hole the securing screws go through are just the right size with no movement. Next you place the feet over the hole, these are rubber backed to ensure a good grip on the toilet. Next you insert the screw, I was able to screw the feet down really tight and they were virtually impossible to move once fully tightened. The seat itself secures strongly to the feet and has rubberised feet around the bottom to prevent the seat sliding about whilst you are sat on it. This is a good solid feeling seat, the soft close mechanism works well as does the quick release, fitting was made easier by the fact the screws are secured from the top so no messing about underneath the pan. It was a little fiddly getting the seat lined up as you have to secure the feet whilst the seat itself is detached whilst the feet are adjustable getting them in just the right position can be a bit of a pain. The only other issue is I found the back of the seat didn't cover the back of the toilet very well the rear part is rather narrow.
