We bought one of these seats from the Ipswich B&Q. The metal fixings went rusty within a month, thinking it was a one-off we had it replaced for another of the same. 3 weeks later this one is having rust issues on the metal work. Supposedly stainless steel ! I think your manufacturer needs to read up on what constitutes stainless steel ! Terrible quality or just poor QC at the factory. Going to get a refund and get some other make instead. This item is simply 2nd rate.

Bought this item and was dreading putting it on as toilet seats have a tendency of not fitting properly, the seat comes with a nice little handy tool for tightening the bolt making it easier to hold in position while tightening.

Nice seat if you pick one with unblemished paint

Had to take our first one back because the lid had dust specks and a hair strand on it that had been sprayed over. The problem is that the seats can't be fully inspected because they are boxed (with only a partial viewing window) and then wrapped in cellophane. Other than that, we like it.

The seat is good but badly let down by plastic hinge washers that slide everywhere
I am going to replace it with a Bemis

You'll need to balance five components on each screw, upside down, with one hand, whilst reaching behind the bowl. (The trick is to tie the three washers together with fishing line or strong cotton and use a wingnut instead of the hexnut+plastic spanner they provide. The thread keeps the three washers together and provides enough friction to prevent the stack from falling off the screw while you're trying to align the nut. The wingnut means you're not also trying to manipulate a nut AND a spanner whilst simultaneously trying to stop everything from falling apart. Forget trying to assemble it according to the instructions). Then when you tighten the nut, you need to hold the thread because it can rotate at BOTH ends until it grips on the final couple of turns. Again a two-handed job where there's often only room for one hand. It was obviously designed by someone who was thinking in terms of an octopus instead of a plumber.
