Crompton Lamps LED GLS 1.5W E27 IP65 Green (3 Pack)

This green LED GLS light bulb is part of a range which has been developed by Crompton Lamps as a means of replacing those light bulbs which are due to be phased out in February 2016 as part of the European Union's wide-ranging ban on incandescent light bulbs. Features a ES-E27 Edison screw (27mm) base/cap.

On the surface this newer range looks exactly the same as the outgoing one, with the same assortment of colours, shapes and cap types available. Of course, underneath each light bulb's immaculately coloured envelope things are entirely different, with modern LED components replacing the tungsten filaments of old. Each coating is applied internally so that it doesn't fade over time, ensuring that the light bulb produces the same quality of light for the duration of its 20,000 hour nominal lifetime, all while using up to 90% less energy than the light bulbs it is designed to replace.

Additionally, each LED GLS light bulb is IP65 rated and can therefore be used outdoors in festoon or garland lighting, alongside a host of other indoor applications. Also known as an A60 light bulb.

Please note that even though the light bulb itself is IP65 rated, it must be used in a suitable IP65 rated socket in order for it to be used outside safely.
