- Surface Preparation - Bare wood should be pre-treated with Cuprinol Wood Preserver Clear (IP) before applying Cuprinol Garden Shades.

Goes on easily.
Goes on brilliantly. Repainted two old wooden planters, went in great & dried quicker than I expected. It needed two coats but only because if the condition of the wood.

Brilliant product
For my finish I like it to be dark so I have 2 coats. Really shows the wood off and the grain. It almost looks like the wood has been burnt with a flame- Japanese style. I really rate this product durability and finish,

Excellent product
I have used this paint in a number of different outdoor areas over the years. This black is my current fence and outdoor furniture colour and it looks great. The rain just runs off and the wood is protected prolonging the life. The black is a particularly good colour as a backdrop for plants.
