I bought this yesterday and worked throughout the afternoon on pine patio furniture. I was immediately unhappy with the results but kept on, thinking it could serve as a primer should I decide to not complete the project with it. Got up early this morning for another coat and all I can think is: What a colossal waste of money, time and energy. Three coats thusfar and it still doesn't cover, has an unappealing caulky dry finish, and is such a bright white that it actually looks odd on the terrace. I won't be keeping this finish. Looking now for a gloss solid sage colour to cover and maybe save this project. Really unhappy,

Great Matt finish and very white

This gives a great finish. Needed a few coats and seemed a bit watery but stuck with it and completed the shed in a day (it was warm and dry so just kept working from one side of shed to the other). Very happy with finish.

    Wow Stunning

Painted on top of dark purple. First coat gave a whitewash look. Second coat looked good. Third coat... AMAZING... really pleased as dubious about other reviews. Bought extra tins to top up when needed. Fence took 3 and 1/2 tins total. Felt like painting the Severn Bridge, but well worth the time it took.

Do not buy if you want a white finish

Bought this product to paint my new wooden fence. My garden make over should have been grey & white theme. However I am left now with a yellow fence! I have to buy another make now and repaint it all over again. I did several coats-never made any difference the yellow kept coming back within a few days

Don't know what the other reviews are about?

I've used seagrass cuprinol before, and thought it was amazing but with white it can be hard to cover so, I read the reviews before deciding. I decided to go for cuprinol despite seeing the low rating. It was on offer and I was looking for a distressed finish so if it wasn't as good as I remember it didn't really matter. Watery? Nope, 4 coats? Nope, I am beginning to think the reviews are from rival companies or people that earn a living from painting exterior wood. Follow the instructions, treat wood with that moss stuff with watered down bleach and 2 coats is almost excessive. I was painting over bright blue! Ignore low reviews, they are genuinely being unfair to this product.
