Don't know what the other reviews are about?

I've used seagrass cuprinol before, and thought it was amazing but with white it can be hard to cover so, I read the reviews before deciding. I decided to go for cuprinol despite seeing the low rating. It was on offer and I was looking for a distressed finish so if it wasn't as good as I remember it didn't really matter. Watery? Nope, 4 coats? Nope, I am beginning to think the reviews are from rival companies or people that earn a living from painting exterior wood. Follow the instructions, treat wood with that moss stuff with watered down bleach and 2 coats is almost excessive. I was painting over bright blue! Ignore low reviews, they are genuinely being unfair to this product.
Thinner so it is absorbed properly into wood.

This paint is thinner and well soaked in. Designed for outside wood. Unlike the cheap stuff that just sits on the surface and eventually flakes off. It took us two coats (and by us I mean my wife...who is an excellent painter.) She added a third coat jyst to ensure longevity and full depth of colour.
DO NOT BUY!

Warning: I had my fence painted with three layers but it turned brown within three weeks. When I complained, nothing was done. I painted another two layers to cover the brown stains and it has turned brown again within three weeks! A very expensive problem!
Time will tell!

Perhaps a little more unusually, I have used this product as an internal wood treatment for a play house that I have constructed for my grandchildren. I wanted the walls to be bright and that aim has been achieved. The area surounding where the play house is located is often damp which is why I used a wood treatment that should cope with the conditions. As other reviewers have also commented, the product is very 'watery' and it was only after the third coat had been applied that a reasonable finish was achieved. I also used the product on the ceiling and that was not easy due to dripping and spray drifting. I was glad that I had used paint cloths to protect the wooden floor. Having said the above, I think this product would be much more straightforward to apply externally and I wouldn't hesitate to use it on future products. The colour range available is very good. It remains to be seen if the product lasts well but I am pleased with the final result.
Like painting with water!

We bought this in forget me not blue to paint inside of a gazebo. Drips everywhere, extremely thin, on coat 2 at the moment and looks like at least another 2 for any sort of coverage!
Would not recommend and will not be buying again.
