Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thinner so it is absorbed properly into wood. This paint is thinner and well soaked in. Designed for outside wood. Unlike the cheap stuff that just sits on the surface and eventually flakes off. It took us two coats (and by us I mean my wife...who is an excellent painter.) She added a third coat jyst to ensure longevity and full depth of colour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good coverage I am repainting a sixteen year old gazebo which had previously been covered by a huge ivy with thick branches - have not quite finished it yet but so far am thrilled with the result.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cover! Daisy white covers a dark wooden fence totally. We did the recommended 3 coats and can't fault it. We got a good offer as well making it good value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product Used this on the wooden slats of an old garden bench. Quick sanding to remove previous brown finish, 2 coats of White Daisy later and I have a new bench. Easy, quick and waterbased product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Time will tell! Perhaps a little more unusually, I have used this product as an internal wood treatment for a play house that I have constructed for my grandchildren. I wanted the walls to be bright and that aim has been achieved. The area surounding where the play house is located is often damp which is why I used a wood treatment that should cope with the conditions. As other reviewers have also commented, the product is very 'watery' and it was only after the third coat had been applied that a reasonable finish was achieved. I also used the product on the ceiling and that was not easy due to dripping and spray drifting. I was glad that I had used paint cloths to protect the wooden floor. Having said the above, I think this product would be much more straightforward to apply externally and I wouldn't hesitate to use it on future products. The colour range available is very good. It remains to be seen if the product lasts well but I am pleased with the final result.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to apply but ....... I have used this to paint a new picket gate made from treated timber with no other preparation. The paint itself is very thin and as a consequence it does not cover very well and it splashes a lot, but is easy to apply with a brush. I have now put on two coats and it is going to need at least one more coat. Maybe it's not designed to go straight onto treated timber, but I'm prepared to put on three or four coats as conventional gloss paint would have had just as many what with primer, undercoats and top coats. The real test will be how long it lasts before recoating, ask me in three years! My ratings reflect this fact.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lots of coats needed Bought this to paint a summer house. The paint was very thin and watery so dripped easily, making a bit of a mess. It needed at least 3 coats to get a fully opaque colour on bare wood and still looked patchy.
