Does what it says on the tin!

Recoated garden furniture - good coverage, works well.

Worked very well

I used this to protect a rustic outdoor bench and it has worked very well- although how it copes with the elements over the next year will be the critical test!

Disappointed.

I applied this CLEAR STAIN product to expensive garden furniture. Whilst careful to apply thinly i still had pink runs. After 7 days the stain is still slightly tacky. Fortunately i only applied to one garden bench and waited to see how things turned out. I will now have to sand down that bench, apply a different make product and bin the unused tins. Over the last 60 years i have used Cuprinol many times and always been satisfied but i have never used their clear stain before. This was an expensive mistake.

Good product, would buy again

Bought this product last week to weatherproof a kids playhouse. Says clear on the tin and it definitely is clear even though it looks pink-ish in the tin. It makes the wood ever so slightly darker with a nice shine. Has withstood the rain nicely in the last few days and just leaves beads of water on the wood and runs off. Coverage is pretty accurate at 15m2 per litre, only need to apply thinly with each coat. A couple of thin coats seems to have been enough. Time will tell if it lasts through the summer and winter..

Great results

Easy to use, great results. People thought we bought a new garden set. Rain beads and rolls off. Does what it says on the tin!

Poor value

The product is relatively expensive for such a small tin. I used a whole tin on a picnic table and had to be quite conservative to ensure I covered it. Unfortunately the manufacturer recommends at least 2 coats are applied so I now need to buy another tin. Not happy.

SImple to use and smooth finish

Covered different wooden furniture colours and types really well. Rain just beads and rolls off.

it does what it says on the tin!

It was excellent for what was needed. I would use it again.

rubbish

I brought this to 'stain' my garden bench after meticulously sanding it down. However its more like a paint it dries far to quickly to blend in when you turn a piece over, it looks awful cant get rid of brush marks, even so it will still probably need sanding down again. ITS NOT A STAIN. I think i'll just paint the bench
